Day 2: Hanoi - City tour - TRAIN - Sapa
- Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum to see the embalmed body of the nation’s hero
- Visit the One Pillar Pagoda
- Visit the Temple of Literature
- Visit the Ethnology Museum, one of the finest museums in the country
- Enjoy a traditional cyclo ride of exploration through the busy streets of the ‘Old Quarter’
- Enjoy a water puppet show, a traditional and ancient art form, unique to Vietnam
- Take a night train to Lao Cai
- Overnight on train.
- Arrive at Lao Cai Train Station very early in the morning
- Refresh in a provided bathroom and have breakfast
- Transfer by private vehicle to Sapa for a day of hiking to meet ethnic minorities in their homelands, in the heart of rice fields
- Visit the village of Y Linh Ho in Muong Hoa valley
- Trek for about 6 km through landscapes of terraced rice fields to Lao Chai village, home of the Black H'mong minority group.
- Meet people proudly dressed in their distinct identifying costumes
- Walk a distance of 2 km to the Ta Van Giay village inhabited by other ethnic groups
- Overnight at a homestay in Ta Van village including breakfast.
- Commence the day with a hike to the Ma Tra village of Black H’mong, along narrow trails, through pine forests, and wonderful gardens
- Trek to Ta Phin village, home to the Red Dzao ethnic minority group
- Trek for 1 km to a large cave called Ti O Cam, under a mountain
- Transfer to Bac Ha town passing many tea plantations and small villages
- Overnight at a hotel in Bac Ha including breakfast.
Day 5: Bac Ha - Ha Giang
- Attend the Bac Ha Area Market, probably the most colorful market in all of Northern Vietnam with local handicrafts, rice wine, fresh fruit, meat and live animals
- Pay a visit to the H’mong Kings House (King Hoang A Tuong), built by the French in 1920
- Visit Ban Pho village and meet with the colorful Tay and H’mong inhabitants
- Drive to passing many tea plantations and small villages
- Arrive in Ha Giang late in the afternoon
- Overnight at a hotel in Ha Giang including breakfast.
- Depart for Dong Van via mountainous roads and through breathtaking valleys
- Visit the Bo Y Village and Binh Yen Standing Stone
- Visit the H’mong village of Lung Tam
- Visit the village of Lo Lo only in this region
- Visit the Royal Palace of King Vuong Chi Sinh Hmong, a famous historical site dating from the colonial era.
- Overnight at a hotel in Dong Van including breakfast.
Day 7: Dong Van - Meo Vac - Pan Hou
- Visit the Dong Van market and Saphin market as well as Vua Meo, the Palace of the King of H’Mong
- Depart for Meo Vac via the Ma Pi Leng Pass of over 2000m
- Hiking along the Mount Ma Phi Leng to contemplate a beautiful view over the valley
- Visit the village of Dao Thanh Phan to discover their culture and their daily lives
- Overnight at Panhou resort including breakfast.
Day 8: Pan Hou - Pho Lu - TRAIN - Hanoi
- Free time at the resort
- Transfer to Pho Lu for a night train to Hanoi
- Overnight on train.
- Free time until transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
